Communication Strategy for the promotion of sustainable peatland and transboundary haze management in Southeast Asia and MAHFSA Communication Plan

Several programs — called ASEAN peatland programs — have been established to support the ASEAN Haze-Free Roadmap e.g., The Measurable Action for Haze-Free Sustainable Land Management in Southeast Asia (MAHFSA), The Sustainable Use of Peatland and Haze Mitigation in ASEAN (SUPA), and The Sustainable Management of Peatland Ecosystems in the Mekong (Mekong Peatlands Project). The document will guide the communication strategies of the three programs mentioned above. The Communication Strategy provides a comprehensive assessment of communication activities and media for deployment to ensure accessibility for the AMS and other stakeholders. By considering the different programs and the Regional Stakeholder Mapping and Analysis, this Communication strategy seeks to contribute to the change of behavior and attitude of key target groups toward a more sustainable peatland and haze management.
